Introduction

 Hey! Welcome to this space -- my name is Natalie (or Nat). 

I grew up in Maryland, but have called Richmond, Virginia home for the last 13 years. The James River, and all the wild green spaces and park systems around it, captured my heart and motivated me to stick around RVA even after graduating from college. 

Currently, I'm working on getting my Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree (as well as a GIS certificate) from VCU. I am in my final semester, running toward the home stretch while trying to soak in every bit of learning I can. My MURP capstone is focused on Richmond parks, so the Parks Planning course is perfectly timed! 

I am eager to utilize this blog as a space for reflection, park observation, and learning throughout the spring. Enjoy the ride!
